App Settings

Local setting such as notification sounds, time and date formats can be changed to suit use of the App in your organisation. To access the App Settings page, select the Ellipse menu at the bottom-right of the App home page and select Settings from the list of options presented. You can make this selection both on the login page before you login and once you have logged in - the options available before and after login differ a little as noted below.

The following settings are available.

Language:  the Checkit App is currently available in US and UK English and also in French. Tap the required language to activate. (This option is available for use only to Checkit Administrators – when you select the option you are promoted to enter a 6 digit PIN which is assigned to a Checkit Administrator account. The page includes details about how to look-up the PIN if you have forgotten it. This option is not available for use by Checkit Operators or Supervisors.

Regional settings: controls the date and time format used by the App. Tap the required setting to activate. (Note that Checkit automatically updates the time when British Summer Time (BST) starts and ends.) This option is available for use before you login only – the Ellipse option is available on the page on which you select a username to login.

Wi-Fi settings: the Checkit App must be connected to your Wi-Fi and is joined to it when the Checkit App is installed on a phone. This option enables you to change the Wi-Fi connection when necessary.  (This option is available for use only to Checkit Administrators – when you select the option you are promoted to enter a 6-digit PIN which is assigned to a Checkit Administrator’s account. The page includes details about how to look-up the PIN if you have forgotten it. This option is not available for use by Checkit Operators or Supervisors).

Other – sound: the Checkit App uses the Notification sound on a phone/Checkit Memo to alert the user to checklists that are due to be completed. This feature is set ON by default when the Checkit App is installed on a phone. This option enables you to turn the sound notification OFF or ON: tap to select.

Reset installation: this option should be used under direction by Checkit Customer Support only as it deletes all Checkit data on a device. The option is available for use only to Checkit Administrators.  When you select the option, you are promoted to enter a 6-digit PIN which is assigned to a Checkit Administrator account. The page includes details about how to look-up the PIN if you have forgotten it. The option is not available for use by Checkit Operators or Supervisors.
