Managing Hardware Devices Video Guide

This video tutorial will allow and guide managers (Administrator mainly) on how to view the lists of all connected devices within the business and as well as details of each devices.

Please note that only an Administrator user will be able to see this information and access the device details.

Work Management Devices(Memo and Apps)

This widget allows you to view all Memos and their details within the business and your assigned locations.

  • Control Centre - Log into the account as an Administrator user
  • Work Management Devices widget allows managers to view list of all memos details within the business.
  • Clicking View/Edit allows you to view and change the details of any connected memos on the account.
  • Select or search for the required devices name from the list.
    • If unsure of the device name, you can cross-reference the memo name or mac address.
    • Assigned Location - This allows you to view and change the device locations by selecting from the drop-down list of available locations. (Download the changes unto the memo)
    • Administrative Pin is the number required to unlock certain features on the memo.
    • Block Memo allows you to disable any lost, stolen or broken devices can be blocked on the system to prevent Overdue Alerts.
      (Blocked memo cannot be logged into and will display a message advising that it's been blocked)

 

Automated Monitoring Devices (Sensors, Repeaters & Hub)

This widget allows you to view a list of all sensor hardware and their details within the business and your assigned locations.

  • Control Centre - Log into the account as an Administrator user
  • Work Management Devices widget allows managers to view list of all sensors details within the business.
  • Click View/Edit to access the lists of connected Hubs and devices (Sensors and Repeaters).
  • The Hubs tab allows you to view and managed all connected automated monitoring devices.
    • Under Hub Details you can view the following
    • Serial number - required for troubleshooting purpose.
    • Display name - This name should be unique for identification purposes.
    • Hub location - If the hub is relocated, the name needs to be changed aswell.
    • Offline Alert Period for the device (This means that the device will need to be offline for an hour before an email alert is sent to the Supervisors and Administrator of the location).
    • The Status allows you to check if the hub is registered and online.
    • Under Connected Devices you can check the names of synced sensors and repeaters assigned to the hub.
  • The Device tab allows you to view and managed all synced and connected devices detail.
  • Select the required device name from the list to view the following
  • Under Details you can view information such as:
    • Device Type - Required for replacement and troubleshoot purposes.
    • Serial Number - Required replacement purposes.
    • Mac Address
    • Location - This is where the sensor is located.
    • Reporting Period - This means that the data are sent to the cloud every 15 minutes
    • Hub - The sensor is connected and reporting through this hub.
  • Configuration allows you to view and edit the Display Name, Descriptions and the Offline Alert Period.

 

AM - Maintenance

This gives you access to the sensor swapping control panel and for technical reasons it is advised you dont use this feature without the assistance of a Checkit Engineer or our support team.
